Switching Gears

How long does it take to shift one’s focus? Its not very long. Channeled being Abraham
(www.Abraham-Hicks.com) has said that only 19 seconds are required. We also know this because sudden unexpected situations cause us to shift gears almost immediately. With some practice we can learn to do this without the aid of adrenaline or necessity.

Choosing to slow down and to shift into a more relaxed state can be accomplished in a short period of time. Meditation practices of all kinds teach techniques that can be used. The word practice is key. Establishing a routine way of shifting gears helps to develop the ability.

All of the mandalas in this post are from Martha Bartfeld’s Magic Mandala: Sacred Geometry for Awakening and Healing. I used this small spiral-bound coloring book at a time in my life, roughly 15 years ago, that was busy and stressful. The mandalas are simple. Often one could be colored in a few minutes.

I have always preferred mandalas that are geometric. I find that creating a color pattern that is geometrically balanced helps me feel more balanced.

Sometimes internally asking which way to go helps the answer emerge.
